CHRG recently launched its new Let’s Talk initiative, a series of interactive workshops designed to provide our team and local community with valuable knowledge, tools and support in areas that truly matter.
The first Let’s Talk session focused on mental health awareness and was held at Lucy’s, Castle Hill RSL Club. The workshop brought together CHRG staff, community visitors, and Sub-Branch members for an engaging and inclusive session led by Steven Gamble from Anchor Health.
In a relaxed setting, participants explored how to break down stigmas surrounding mental health and learned practical strategies to support both themselves and others. The workshop covered key topics including:
- Mental health in Australia
- Prevention and early intervention
- Recognising signs and symptoms
- Reaching out and providing support
- Effective communication
- Treatment and referral pathways
- Resources and self-care strategies
The session was a resounding success, empowering attendees to have more open, informed and supportive conversations about mental health.
CHRG looks forward to continuing the Let’s Talk series, with more workshops planned to build awareness, strengthen connections and support wellbeing across our community. Stay tuned for Episode 2!
