The Hills Community Aid is a not-for-profit organisation established in 1969 after lobbying by a local social worker, Mary Lane. Mary herself was a young mother living in the Hills Shire, who identified a lack of services for mothers needing support.

Through Mary’s determination and support from Baulkham Hills Shire Council and local church groups, Hills Community Aid was created. HCA humble beginning as an independent provider of community services, and operating programs such as Meals on Wheels, emergency child minding services and taking elderly people shopping. Today, HCA, overseen by a volunteer Board of Governance, continues to be an independent provider of community service to residents of Baulkham Hills and adjoining communities.

This Christmas, CHRG has donated $3,000 worth of Coles Myer vouchers to HCA to assist with the purchase of children’s gifts for families in need. If you would like to join us in the gift of giving please go to www.hca.org.au/donate-to-hca
