Places to be together

Tallowood School (located in Kellyville) was established in 2004 to cater for students with disabilities, from Kindergarten to Year 12.  All students have a moderate to severe intellectual disability, with many experiencing Autism, challenging behaviours, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and health care needs.

CHRG (Castle Hill RSL Group) has long supported Tallowood School by raising funds for educational resources and school maintenance through our annual Rattle ‘n Hum Event. Unfortunately, due to this years’ pandemic, the event could not take place, however the CHRG Board of Directors gifted a $10,000.00 donation directly to the school.

The donation will assist with the cost of repairing and replacing much-needed shade sails throughout the school – allowing children to continue their sun-safe outdoor activities and learning.  To keep with tradition, we presented Tallowood with their annual ‘Car Cheque’ to add to the collection they have on display in their reception area. Thank you to Principal Greg Wood, staff and current School Captain, Tanju, for their hospitality during our visit.
