On Thursday 11th April, Castle Hill RSL Club transformed into a hub of compassion and community spirit as it hosted the Supertee Kids Medical Garments Packing Event. Volunteers from CHRG staff, the Castle Hill RSL Sub-Branch, and CHRG sub-clubs came together to support this inspiring initiative.
Supertee, founded by Jason Sotiris in 2018, creates innovative medical garments designed to make hospital stays easier for children undergoing treatment. Inspired by Jason’s experience with his daughter Angela’s chemotherapy journey, the garments provide comfort and accessibility for medical staff, parents, and young patients.
At the event, volunteers packed Supertee Marvel Edition tins containing a Captain America or Captain Marvel Supertee, activity booklets, stickers, bookmarks, Hero ID cards, and personal notes of encouragement. These garments serve as symbols of resilience and hope for children facing challenging medical conditions.
CHRG Group Chief Operating Officer Andy Abey expressed pride in the community’s response. “It’s an honour to support such an incredible cause. Events like these highlight the kindness and generosity within our community,” he said.
Cheryl Hill, President of the Castle Hill RSL Sub-Branch, reflected on the day’s impact: “Knowing our efforts bring comfort and joy to children in need is truly rewarding.”
Since its inception, Supertee has donated over 8,000 garments, helping thousands of families across Australia. For more information or to support this meaningful cause, visit www.supertee.org.au.
